Apple products to look out for in 2021

With an amazing 2020 behind us, we all look forward to a spectacular 2021, and one of the things to look forward to this year is Apple’s upcoming products. 2021 is expected to be a packed year for Apple because Apple’s planning to release quite many new products in 2021 and we take a look at some of those items.

We bring you this detailed article designed to provide an overview of everything that we're expecting to see from Apple, both in the near and more distant future.

Apple held an event in April 2021 tagged ‘Apple spring loaded event’ which uncovered new products ranging from the colourful 24 inch iMac to the 12.9 inch iPad’s Pro Liquid Retina XDR display. But all these mentioned are currently on sales. The company also introduced a new aluminium purple colour for the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 mini.

The products expected from Apple to be released later in the year (although still in the works) are listed below:

iPhone 13

Although, launch for the new iPhone 13 is still far away, rumours about what to expect from the new device has been circulating. It’s expected to be the biggest launch of the year with multiple quality new features.

The 2021 iPhone line up will look similar to the 2020 iPhone line up, with four devices in sizes that include 5.4-inches, 6.1-inches, and 6.7-inches, with two of the iPhones being higher-end "Pro" models and two positioned as lower-cost, more affordable devices. So we can expect a 5.4-inch iPhone mini, a 6.1-inch low-cost iPhone, a 6.1-inch Pro model, and a 6.7-inch Pro Max model.

Major design changes are not expected, and 2021 iPhones will have the same feature set as the 2020 iPhones, but we can count on some improvements from the device.

What stands out immediately you spot the iPhone is the size of the new rear cameras. The iPhone has a 20% increase in size for each camera module. Let’s call it the biggest physical leap in iPhone history. It goes without saying that larger modules mean larger lenses and larger lenses let in more light which increases image quality, especially in low or poor lighting conditions. The iPhone 13 is also rumoured to offer a 120Hz LTPO display on both Pro models (low-temperature Polycrystalline oxide). An improved battery life thanks to a more efficient 5G modem. It’s still not clear if Apple is adding an in-display fingerprint sensor to the iPhone 13 models, which would be used in addition to Face ID as an alternate biometric authentication method. We hope so though cos the more secured your device is, the better.

Although Apple’s not revealed the capacity of the battery, we expect a larger battery and longer life than the iPhone 12 which lasted 17 hours. For Prices, Apple tends to keep its pricing for each new generation of iPhone relatively close to the one that preceded it. We'd expect the prices to track with the iPhone 12 range, Â£499, Â£571, Â£714 and Â£785.

Overall, the new iPhone should be worth the wait when it launches in September 2021.

New iMac Design

I believe this new iMac was designed to fit wherever you need to work from. It’s the first Mac designed around the M1 chip and also includes Touch ID. Apple’s new 24-inch iMac is built with the company’s M1 chip, which integrates the computer’s processor, graphics, memory and more. The computer comes in a display of colours, ranging from blue, green, pink, silver, yellow, orange and purple.  It also features a tilted stand, Thunderbolt ports and a power connector that attaches via magnets. Another interesting thing about the new iMac is that, it comes with the newer version of the keyboard which has a Touch ID. It also includes a six speaker sound system, two pairs of force-cancelling woofers placed side by side for an impressive bass response and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. It’s believed to be the best camera and audio ever in a Mac. The new iMac features an expansive 24-inch 4.5K Retina display. This new display also features True Tone technology, which automatically adjusts the colour temperature as the environment changes for a more natural viewing experience.

For design, it’s thinner and more compact, this makes it remarkable from every angle. Although, the compact design reduces the volume of iMac by 50 percent, I believe Apple’s aim was is for it take up less space and fit easily in even more places. The new iMac is minimizing its impact on the environment, built using a low-carbon aluminium enclosure and 100 percent recycled tin in the solder of its main logic board. The magnets in the speakers, fan motor, and power connector are made with 100 percent recycled rare earth elements.

Additionally, the new iMac joins the incredible family of Mac models powered by M1, including MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. The newly improved iMac will begin arriving to customers and be available in select Apple Store locations and through Apple Authorized Resellers beginning in the second half of May. The iMac starts at Â£1071.19.

iPad Pro

The new iPad Pro is designed with either an 11-inch or 12.9-inch display and Apple’s M1 chip. Although a bit more expensive, it definitely looks more amazing.  If you pre ordered for this iPad in April, you should get yours on May 21st which was announced as the release date. Price for the 12.9 inch starts at £785.89 while the 11 inch starts at Â£571.36. The iPad Pro might be quite hard to buy at first, because there’s an ongoing chip shortage around the world. Apple’s CEO. Tim Cook also confirmed the low supply of chipsets. For those buying, you’ll have a choice of two sizes, an 11-inch model, or a larger 12.9-inch model.

Furthermore, these 2021's models have the iPad Pro 12.9-inch offering better screen technology as it also comes with a new Liquid Retina XDRâ„¢ display.  For performance, Apple really upped their game with this cos it comes with the M1 chip from the MacBook in the iPad Pro. Simply put, this should make it the fastest iPad ever.

Air Pods

Air pods are the most popular headsets in the world. Known for their sound quality, and iconic design, it’s no wonder a new air pod was introduced. The Air pods Max. The Air Pods Max cost £392 and comes in five beautiful colours, the space grey, silver, sky blue, green, and pink. Along with the headphones, in the box you’ll get a carrying Smart Case and Lightning-to-USB-C cable. There is no power button to turn the headphones on or off. Instead, they enter a low-power mode when you put them in the case and are ready to go when you take them out again. Up to 20 hours of listening to music, talking on the phone, or watching movies with Active Noise Cancellation enabled and the volume set to 50 percent on a single charge. Design is remarkable cos it comes designed with a knit-mesh canopy and memory foam ear cushions for an exceptional fit. Each ear cushion uses acoustically engineered memory foam to create an effective seal. The H1 chips inside the Air Pods Max offer a seamless and fully-integrated pairing and device-switching experience for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV users, which competitors have been unable to match. Get this headphone for the utmost sound quality.
